Overseeding, speedseeding, dimple seeding in Michigan

Overseeding is planting of grass seed directly into existing turf without tearing up, or minimally disrupting the established turf or soil. We primarily use five foot and seven foot Seed-A-Vators that power aerate, seed, scratch rake, and roll in one pass. We also use this machine to re-establish or convert to a desired turf, after a Selective, or no-selective herbicide is applied. This is similar to, but far less destructive to the existing turf than "slit seeding". We can also seed into somewhat stony, and under trees (Tree roots). We converted to Seed A Vators years ago from the classic "Slit seeders" for all the above reasons. We also use a Dimple seeder (speedseed) for high quality short turf where surface disruption needs to be minimal, but still provide great results.
